Information: Time: Between 14h00 – 16h00! Zanzi is a South African artist with a passion for people
and music! Between 2008 – 2016 she released 5 albums, of which
Embracing Africa is the latest. Zanzi (Born in Cape Town, 4th April 1989) started competing
in singing competitions at the tender age of 13. She received the “Student of
the year” award at her local music school and got chosen to represent South
Africa in the World Championships of Performing Arts ,twice. She competed
against 52 countries in Los Angeles where she received Gold, Silver and the
‘’Industry Award” for exceptional stage performance. After 10 years in the Entertainment Industry, Zanzi took on
a whole new music genre and is now placing much more focus on different
cultures in the African-Universal market. She performs at several music festivals functions &
corporate events and her music was well received and is playing on several top
charts on various radio stations. Her music videos is also playing on several
TV channels and she made appearances on Morning LIVE, Expresso, JAM, Jukebox,
Hectic Nine-9, SABC, kykNET, Ontbytsake and ASTV. Zanzi also featured in
magazines such as TV Plus, Finesse, GET IT and several newspapers. Being
nominated for a Ghoema award, is also one of her highlites throughout her career. Her music has a feel-good factor, with Zanzi singing in
English, Zulu, Sotho, Xhosa, and Shona. The music video of the popular song
“Vulindlela “, from the Famous Brenda Fassie, is what gave her a major
breakthrough in the African market. The latest video, Chase The Sun, was
recently released and is also making waves in the industry. Zanzi is receiving very positive and exciting reaction from
crowds all over South-Africa and hopes to continue to spread her message of
hope, love & acceptance through her music. She is very humbled by all the
support and will continue to make a difference.
